How long have the CHAIN Awards been running?
The CHAIN Awards was launched in 2005.
Who can enter?
The CHAIN Awards are open to manufacturers, retailers, brand owners or any end-users and practitioners interested or involved in supply chain management. Key decision-makers and executives in SCM, operations, procurement, sourcing, logistics and related fields are welcome to nominate their company/team. We welcome submissions from solutions providers, e.g. 3PLs and consultancies, only when in partnership with an end-user practitioner client, who must be the focus of the entry.

Nominations are now open until the deadline of September 30, 2020. Please note the deadline will not be extended.

How much does it cost to enter?
We charge US$ 399 per category (for regular entry before September 10) and US$ 499 per category (late entry fee).
What happens if at the end I am not shortlisted or I don't make it to finalist?
No refunds will be given for wrong, disqualified or withdrawn entries. In addition to the above, should entry fee remain unpaid by September 30, the entry will be disqualified and GSCC will retain the right to claim for unpaid entry fees.

When is the deadline for completing and uploading my entries?
The deadline for the 2020 CHAIN Awards applications is September 30, 2020.
When is the shortlist of nominees announced?
The full list of finalists will be announced on October 10.
When are winners announced?
The winners will be announced during the Awards ceremony on November 19.
I have been shortlisted for an award, do I need to book a ticket? How?
All nominees and shortlisted companies will receive complimentary passes for them to attend the Awards ceremony and conference. Please note that you need to be present if you want to receive an award.
In which category should my company apply?
Please read the criteria for each category and select the one that best matches your situation. If you need help determining the best category for your organization, please contact us directly.
May my company submit more than one application?
You may nominate your company in multiple categories. There is a flat fee for each category nomination. Your odds of winning a CHAIN Award increase with the more categories you pursue, so we recommend participating in any/all categories where you have accomplishments and a good story to tell.

What happens after a CHAIN Award application is submitted?
Once your application is accepted, you will be required to complete your payment for the administration fee so that the judging process can start. Judges score each application and provide feedback. Judges from each category then meet via conference call to discuss each application and determine finalists and a winner. Finalists (the winner is considered a finalist) and non-finalists are notified. Finalists are announced on October 10 and the winner is revealed for each category at the CHAIN Awards ceremony on November 19.
How may I increase my company's chance of winning?
You should ensure that your online application has all the information completed, and that it contains data to substantiate improvements and levels of supply chain improvements, i.e., metrics and valid results from external sources. “Make your case” for why you think you should win.
Is all application information that my company submits kept confidential?
Yes, the Global Supply Chain Council makes every effort to ensure your application remains confidential. Please be advised that each CHAIN Award judge is committed to ensure that any information you provide during the CHAIN Award process remains confidential.
Note that in the event that one or more of the judges works for a company with which you compete, we will NOT knowingly send your application to them for evaluation. You also may exclude a potential judge who you feel may be a competitor. Applicant judge exclusion forms must be submitted along with the application and give you the opportunity to select one judge you want to exclude from receiving your award application.
How should the entry be submitted?

Do we need to submit a lot of supporting documents?
No, for now, focus on the online application. If selected as a finalist, you will be required to submit one PowerPoint presentation that can be used during the finalist showcase at the CHAIN Conference on November 5.
Is the length of my presentation important?
There is a maximum number of 20 slides that will be accepted, but there is no minimum requirement. Please be as succinct as possible, without any unnecessary or unrelated information.
Is the application fee refundable in the event we should change our mind regarding submitting a CHAIN Award application?
The application fee is non-refundable once your nomination has been accepted and the judging process initiated.
Where will the Awards ceremony take place?
The CHAIN Awards ceremony will take place virtually online across the APAC region on November 19.
What should I wear?
The dress code for the ceremony is casual chic, black tie is not required - it's online!
